The Burwell-Morgan Mill still continues to grind grain the same way it was ground in the 18th century. A large, 20 foot water wheel powers two french buhr stones that have been in use since 1866 which grind the grain. The grain we grind on the weekends include soft wheat, hard wheat, pancake mix, white corn, Indian corn, red corn, yellow corn, blue corn, 9-grain, barley, rye, and buckwheat. Two pound bags of ground grain available for purchase. Be sure to take some yummy cornmeal or flour home!
